Today during class we
  • prepped for the Beverage Density Lab
  • peformed the Beverage Density Lab
In this lab, we attempted to determine the % sugar content in different sugar solutions. We did this by finding the mass of each solution for every 5 mL of the solution, and then dividing the mass by volume to find density. There were sugar solutions of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15 %, and 20%.

After finding the density of the sugar solutions, we also chose from Pepsi, Grape Juice, and Apple Juice and repeated the same steps to find the % sugar content in these everyday beverages. I apologize in advance for the poor quality of my images. It's a long story, but this was the best I could do.
